What GIT Insurance Covers

Once requested and confirmed, your Goods in Transit insurance covers the following during the entire duration of your move.

Accidental Damage

Covers damage caused by accidents or mishandling during loading, transport, and unloading of your goods.

Theft

Protection against the loss or theft of your goods while they are in our care and custody.

Loss

Compensation if any of your items go missing or cannot be accounted for at the time of delivery.

Informing us of high-value or fragile items allows us to advise on appropriate packing and coverage. Items not declared may affect any claim.
Policy exclusions to be aware of:
  • Damage resulting from inadequate or improper packing by the customer
  • Damage due to the inherent fragility of an item not declared in advance
  • Normal wear and tear or pre-existing damage
